Name Description
4EverPSX It only runs demos, but it's worth watching out for.
AdriPSX

ILE
Very fast, and full-featured PSX emulator. One of the most-used,

and most-updated. The compatibility list is high, and the speed is good.

Give it a try.
Bleem!

Bleem! FR
Formerly one of the best emulators for the PSX. However,

Bleem, LLC has gone out of business. This demo is crippled, but still worth

the download.
ePSXe ePSXe is a PSX emulator that takes advantage of the PSEmu Pro plugin system. It requires DX7a and a good 3D card. A PSX bios image is also needed to use it.

Right now it is the best freeware Playstation emulator available.

The ePSXeCutor is the premiere frontend for ePSXe. This release takes advantages of some features not yet present in ePSXe (it works off of a pre-release version).
FPSE FPSE has had excellent progress. Try it out - the current

version has had much improvement over the previous ones.
Jackal Incomplete emulator that didn't get much farther than the

early stages of life.
PCSX A very full featured PSX emulator with good compatibility and features full plugin support
PSEmu/PSEmu Pro PSEmu Pro is the standard that all other PSX emulators have to live

up to. While discontinued, it's use of a plugin standard has been adopted

by all modern PSX emulators to date. Pick it up for a bit of nostalgia.
PSInex This emulator is in it's early stages. It emulates all the

existing BIOS images, runs many PSX demos, has plugin support, an integrated

debugger, and sound partially works.
pSX This emulator fully emulates the Sony Playstation. Compatibility is fairly high, most games tried by the author work well.

An R3000 debugger is contained which may be of interest to people working on translations.
PSXeven A new psx emulator on the market by Xeven. With all the improvements

this is becoming one to watch.
Psyke This is the first Playstation emulator to use Dynamic Recompilation.

Psyke has been discontinued, but made strides in PSX development.
Virtual

Game Station

KONemuPSX
VGS is the second commercial PSX emulator to be released.

Very high compatibility, but lacks many features of most modern PSX emulators,

such as advanced 3d rendering. After Sony purchased Connectix, this emulator

was discontinued and now it is no longer even supported.
Xebra A Japanese Playstation Emulator for Windows.
